We offer two types of seamless gutters. Five inches, which is mainly used for residential homes, as well as six inches, which is more common for commercial buildings. We take into consideration the length, pitch, and size of the roofline when deciding which size gutter to install. Above all else, we make sure what we install will look nice with the rest of your home!
We replace the fascia or shadow board if it is rotted or in rough shape with Azek board. Azek board is a heavy-duty plastic that is stronger than wood and will not rot. In most cases, we add a shadow board behind the gutter to add additional support and prolong the gutter's lifespan. There are times when we must remove rotted fascia or shadow boards and install Azek to make sure the gutter is attached to a reliable surface.
Leaf guards are essential for those whose homes are surrounded by trees. If you have to have your gutters cleaned out 2-3 times a year, then Leaf Guard is the way to go. Then you will only have to check the downspouts once a year, saving you time and money!
When cleaning out a gutter, our priority is removing all the debris that is blocking the gutter and downspout. While we clean out the gutters, we will replace broken hangers, tighten loose screws, snake clogged downspouts, clear the roof valleys, and look out for anything that looks concerning.
We also offer an additional cleaning service where we use Simple Green on the outside of the gutters to give them a nice, clean look! With over 15 years of experience in the home repair industry, Colangelo's Home Services has become a trusted name in the local community. We have built our reputation on quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.
Does not matter if we installed it or not. If your gutters aren’t functioning right, or are damaged, we will come out, access the situation, and find a solution to resolve the issue.
We do not take shortcuts or create temporary solutions!
To avoid problems like mold, mildew, and structural damage, gutters function to divert rainwater away from your home’s exterior and foundation. They also help prevent the water from damaging your landscaping, decks, porches, and many more things! Gutters will greatly benefit your home because they are very important!
Obviously this varies from home to home, but it’s easy to figure out. Each square foot of roof space collects about a half a gallon of water per inch of rainfall. So if you have a 2,000 square foot roof, you would likely have about a 1,000 gallons of water coming off your roof per inch of rainfall.
One of the biggest reasons for water getting into your basement, is the amount of water coming off of your roofline. Adding gutters will help, since the gutters are taking all that water, and redirecting it away from your home!
Gutters are fastened into your fascia board with screws every 14-16 inches or so. It is very important to make sure that your gutters are cleaned out to prevent any additional weight onto the screws. On top of that, you want to make sure the gutters are functioning properly to prevent your fascia/shadow board from rotting.

You may need to replace your gutters if you notice visible signs of damage, such as rust, cracks, or sagging sections. Additionally, if you experience frequent water pooling around your foundation or find that your gutters are overflowing during rainstorms, it’s a clear indication they may not be functioning properly.
Neglecting your gutters can lead to significant water damage, as clogged or damaged gutters can cause water to overflow and seep into your foundation, leading to cracks and mold growth. Additionally, improper drainage can result in soil erosion around your home and damage to landscaping. Over time, neglected gutters can also lead to costly repairs and the need for complete gutter replacement due to deterioration and structural issues.
